Privacy policy

What personal data Rozum collects when you visit therozum.com or contact us, why we use it and what rights you have. In short: we only get what you send us yourself, use it to answer you or to prepare the file you ask for, and the site itself sets no cookies and has no analytics or ad trackers.

1.Who we are

The website therozum.com is run by Rozum (“we”, “us”). We decide how and why the personal data described in this policy is processed and are responsible for it.

2.What data we collect

  • Contact form: your name, email address, the service you choose, your message and the language of the site.
  • Messages you send us by email, phone, Telegram or social networks: your contact details and what you write.
  • Technical data: when you open the site, our hosting provider processes your IP address, browser and device details, the requested address and the time of the request.
  • Language choice: saved in your browser’s local storage on your device and never sent to us.
  • YouTube downloader: the link to the video you open and what you choose (format, start and end of a clip). They go to our download server, which also uses your IP address to limit the number of requests.
  • The downloads list of the YouTube downloader: kept in your browser’s session storage and cleared when you close the tab.

We don’t ask for sensitive data such as health, beliefs or financial details. Please don’t include it in your message.

3.Why we use it and on what basis

  • To answer your request and discuss a possible project: steps you ask for before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and your consent given by sending the form (Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection”).
  • To send an automatic email confirming that we received your request: the same basis.
  • To keep the correspondence about a project we work on together: performance of the contract and our legal obligations.
  • To prepare the file you ask for in the YouTube downloader: providing the service you request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). To limit requests per IP address so that the tool stays available to everyone: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • To deliver the site securely and fix errors: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We don’t sell personal data, don’t send newsletters or advertising and don’t make automated decisions about you.

4.Cookies and trackers

The site itself doesn’t set cookies and doesn’t use analytics, advertising pixels or other trackers. Fonts and the site’s other files are served from our own domain.

The exception is the YouTube downloader. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you open a video there; then the page loads the YouTube player (from youtube-nocookie.com) and the video’s cover from Google’s servers, so that you can watch it and choose a clip. Google receives your IP address and browser details, and the player may store data in your browser when you play the video. Google’s privacy policy applies to that.

The site keeps in your browser your language choice (local storage) and, in the downloader, the list of downloads of the open tab (session storage). They are needed for the functions you use, so they don’t require consent. You can delete them by clearing the site data in your browser.

5.Who processes the data for us

  • Vercel Inc. (USA): hosting of the site and of the form handler.
  • Render Services, Inc. (USA), servers in Frankfurt (EU): hosting of the download server that runs the YouTube downloader and stores the prepared files until they are deleted.
  • Google LLC (USA): the Gmail mailbox that receives form requests and sends the confirmation emails.
  • Telegram, Instagram and LinkedIn: only if you choose to write to us there; their own privacy policies apply.

We disclose data to public authorities only when the law requires it.

6.Transfers outside Ukraine and the EU

Vercel, Google and Render may process data in the USA and other countries. They do so under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or other safeguards required by law.

7.How long we keep it

  • Requests and correspondence that didn’t lead to cooperation: up to 3 years after our last contact, then we delete them.
  • Correspondence about a project: for the duration of the cooperation and afterwards as long as the law requires.
  • Technical data: for the short period set by the hosting provider for its logs.
  • YouTube downloader: the prepared file and the record of the download are deleted automatically 2 hours after you start it, and the count of requests from an IP address after about 10 minutes.

8.Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or give it to you in a machine-readable form. You can withdraw your consent at any time; this doesn’t affect processing that happened before.

Write to therozumindustries@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights or, if you live in the EU, to your local data protection authority.

9.Security

The site works only over HTTPS. Only the members of the Rozum team who handle requests have access to them.

10.Children

The site is meant for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect data from children under 16; if you think a child has sent us data, write to us and we will delete it.

12.Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the way we handle data changes. The date of the current version is at the top of the page.
